Since 2018 Colby has taken music lessons with Tony Wolff, his mentor. These lessons explore a wide variety of musical concepts and influences that help guide his artistic development.
In 2025 Colby began working at All Newton Music School where he works in administration, performs with faculty, and teaches group ensembles and private lessons.
In 2026 he was awarded an Artist Fellowship Grant from Somerville Arts Council that supports his local performances and collaborations.
Colby’s impact lives within his live improvisation, original compositions, and overall approach to teaching. He strives to create thought-provoking musical experiences that heal.
